History of USB

USB was first introduced by SanDisk Corporation in 1987. It was designed to provide a universal serial bus that would allow devices to connect to computers without having to use proprietary cables. In 1993, they released their first flash drive called the Cruzer. This device had a capacity of 1 MB and was priced at $399.00.
 In 1994, they released the Cruzer 8 GB model which costed $599.00. In 1995, they released the Cruzers 16 GB model which costed around $999.00. In 1996, they released the Cruzes 32 GB model which costed about $1999.00. In 1997, they released the Cruze 64 GB model which costed over $3000.00.
 In 1998, they released the Cruz 128 GB model which costed almost $4000.00. In 1999, they released the Cruz 256 GB model which costed nearly $8000.00. In 2000, they released the Cruz 512 GB model which costed more than $10000.00. In 2001, they released the Cruz 1 TB model which costed over 12000.00. In 2002, they released the Cruz 2 TB model which costed about 18000.00.
