Having your own website is great, but how to make money blogging? Some bloggers manage to monetize their blogs well enough to work on them full-time. But if you’re not one of them, don’t despair. You can still find ways to make money with your blog and actually succeed in building an online business that helps you earn revenue month after month. Make Money From Ads

Using Google AdSense or other ad platforms is one of the most tried-and-true ways to make money from a website. The challenge many new bloggers face, however, is getting ads on their site. If you want to focus on affiliate marketing (recommending products you love and earn commissions from), then by all means remove ads from your site entirely. But if you want advertising, it can help if your site has some traffic before you approach companies for partnership opportunities—and that’s when putting up some Google AdSense or other ad network banners can be helpful. Of course, there are tons of ways to make money with blogging beyond affiliate marketing and display advertising. Here are eight more options to consider:

 1) Create an e-book or online course: You don’t need thousands of readers to make money selling an e-book. In fact, you don’t even need hundreds! There are successful niche sites out there with only dozens of visitors per day who manage to sell multiple copies of their e-books each month. If you have experience in a particular area like cooking, finance, knitting, or photography, why not create an e-book teaching people about how they can do what you do? Or maybe teach them something else related? Selling an eBook is one of my favorite ways to make money because it’s extremely passive. Once you write it and upload it to a marketplace, you don’t have to do anything else unless you want to collect income. You also don’t need an upfront investment or even your own website (though having your own website is beneficial). All you need are readers! The more time and effort that goes into writing an eBook, though, will determine how much money you can make from each sale. If you’re willing to put in at least $50-100 hours, then go for it. But if you’re looking for something quick and easy, there’s no harm in starting small with a short 10-20 page eBook that can be read in under 30 minutes. That said, I’ve seen plenty of people start out by creating free content on their own websites or blogs before building out an entire book on their own. The choice is yours! With so many blogs writing about your product or service, it can be easy for a brand’s message to get lost in the shuffle. If you want them to, they’ll also be happy to give you links back from their blogs (which is helpful). And since these days, many bloggers are looking for extra income as well—even if it’s on an infrequent basis—this can work out really well for both parties. Just make sure that when you approach someone to become a brand ambassador, you have something of value to offer.

After all, there’s no point in asking someone to write about your product or service if there isn’t something special about it that makes it worth sharing. Also, keep in mind that just because someone writes positively about your company doesn’t mean they’ll take money from you! They might even turn down free products! It’s not always necessary to pay people off; sometimes good relationships will do just fine.

Start Your Own Business

Starting your own business can seem scary and overwhelming, but it’s easier than you think. If you enjoy writing, making connections on social media, or interacting with customers, a job as an independent blogger could be perfect for you. If you want to make money through blogging, start by mapping out your own ideas before seeing what’s already being done online. And remember: You don’t have to do everything yourself! Hire freelancers or delegate tasks if needed. Most importantly, though: Be honest about what makes your site unique in order to stand out from your competition. With a solid plan of action, patience, and hard work, there’s no reason why you can’t turn your passion into profit.

Sell Your Content on Other Sites

If you have information that others will pay to read, you may be able to make some money by selling your content online. There are a variety of sites that may be willing to pay for your information, including daily deal sites and e-book publishers. Monetizing your video content is a good way to go, as long as you do it right. The problem is, there are lots of ways people monetize their videos and some of them are not very effective. As they say, if all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. If all you know how to do is slap ads on your videos and push play on your computer when you film something new then that’s all you will ever be able to monetize. You need to develop multiple streams of income from your videos. You can make money by offering products or services in exchange for views, by selling advertising space directly on your channel or through affiliate marketing. When you figure out what works best for you, stick with it! People often try several different things before finding one that really pays off. Don’t give up after just one try!
